Paradise Island Smoothie (serves 2)

When I was a child living in Vietnam my father planted many star fruit trees on our land.  My brother, Dan and I would pick the fruit when they were still immature and we would eat them right away.  We could not wait for the fruit to mature and ripen on the trees.  Unfortunately, I don't recall ever seeing a ripe star fruit on a tree when I was a child!

This is a blend of fruit found on Maui.  The result is sweet and delicious!

Paradise Island Smoothie (serves 2)

1 large ripe star fruit, seeds removed
1/8 ripe pineapple (please see How to Prepare a Pineapple post)
1 ripe ice cream banana
1 small ripe papaya
1 can of Pass-O-Guava juice (Aloha Maid Natural fruit drink)
4-5 ice cubes
Star fruit section, garnish

Crush and whip all ingredients together in a blender until smooth.
