Sautéed Lamb Liver in Oyster Sauce (serves 2-3)
I came across some fresh lamb liver a few days ago and decided to purchase one. This dish is great accompanied with rice and fresh sliced cucumber, tomatoes and lettuce.
Sautéed Lamb Liver in Oyster Sauce (serves 2-3)
Ingredients:
1/2 lb of fresh lamb liver, sliced into 3/8th inch pieces
1/2 large white onion, sliced
1 garlic clove, chopped
1 T olive oil
1 T oyster sauce
1 t fish sauce
1/4 t sugar
Method:
1) Heat oil in a medium size pan over medium high heat.
2) Add onion and garlic and saute for 5 minutes or until onion is soft.
3) Add the liver and cook for 8-10 minutes or until it is cooked thoroughly.
4) Add oyster sauce, fish sauce, and sugar. Stir and cook for about 30 seconds.
*If you do not have access to lamb liver you can substitute with another liver. I have made this dish using chicken liver and it was tasty. Chicken liver has a different texture, somewhat softer.
